McGetrick Consulting Group was founded by Justin McGetrick, an experienced actuarial and healthcare benefits leader with a career spanning across the full spectrum of employee benefits.
His career has included roles with Humana, Aetna, BCS Financial, Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions, and Voya Financial, providing a breadth of experience that extends well beyond traditional actuarial disciplines.
At Humana, Justin developed deep expertise in Medicare, including Medicare Supplement, Group Medicare, underwriting, and bid development, while also gaining experience in employer group benefits including ACA, dental and vision products. His work included Medicare bids representing more than $4 billion in annual revenue and partnering closely with sales, underwriting and other business leaders to develop competitive and financially sound solutions.
At Aetna, Justin focused further on employer group benefits while expanding his experience in pricing, forecasting, and cross functional business leadership. He also developed a strong foundation in continuous improvement, helping apply process improvement principles to actuarial work and teaching Lean and Six Sigma concepts to approximately 250 actuaries.
At BCS Financial, his experience expanded into international health and voluntary products, partnering with external parties including the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association to execute enterprise initiatives. As Chief Actuary at Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions, Justin served at the intersection of innovation, strategy and compliance while simultaneously growing membership and lowering loss ratios. He also served on the company's Bermuda board as Head Underwriter and Actuary.
Most recently, at Voya Financial, Justin served in a senior actuarial leadership role focused on supplemental health, life, and disability.
Across his career, he has worked with actuarial, underwriting, product, sales and distribution, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to translate complex actuarial analysis into practical business decisions.

He has seen healthcare benefits from multiple perspectives: large national carriers and specialized organizations; government and employer markets; domestic and international products; fully insured and self-insured arrangements; and actuarial, underwriting, product, and sales functions.
